Role at Redemption Law

As a Record Retrieval Specialist, Iris is responsible for:

  • Collecting Records: Obtaining medical records from various healthcare providers (hospitals, clinics, physicians’ offices).
  • Requesting Records: Contacting healthcare providers to request records, following proper procedures and authorization protocols.
  • HIPAA Compliance: Ensuring all record requests and handling adhere to HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations to protect patient privacy.
  • Data Entry: Entering relevant information from collected records into secure databases for easy access.
  • Database Management: Maintaining and updating the databases to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
  • Quality Control: Regularly reviewing records for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
