Why Hire An Attorney?

Remember back in the day when you were looking for a ride and had to call a taxi because you didn’t have a car, friend, or family member to pick you up? Now, we have ride-share companies like Uber and Lyft where you can just get on your phone and get someone to pick you up with just one easy click of a button. However, although technology is advancing, auto accidents still exist, which is where Florida ride share lawyers come in. When you get into a rideshare vehicle, you are still running the risk of getting involved in an accident. If you are a victim and have suffered serious injuries, you may wonder what the process is and what rights you have. However, rideshare accidents are not like traditional car accidents. In rideshare accidents, liability issues as well as policy coverage are different. For example, in a rideshare accident, you may be a passenger in the rideshare vehicle, or an innocent bystander hit by the rideshare vehicle while it was transporting passengers to their destination. Facts such as this are key when working such a case, which is why it’s so important to hire an experienced Florida attorney who has the knowledge and expertise handling rideshare cases. No matter how you were injured, Redemption Law has a Florida rideshare attorney who can help you get the compensation you deserve for your injuries. Our firm has worked rideshare accident cases and can help you obtain the compensation you deserve for your injury.

Rideshare Insurance Coverage

Uber and Lyft are the two largest rideshare companies. Determining coverage depends on whether the rideshare app is on and whether there are passengers assigned. When the driver of a rideshare vehicle has the app on but doesn’t have a passenger assigned, the insurance policy needs to provide at least $50,000 of bodily injury coverage per person, $100,000 of bodily injury coverage per accident, and $25,000 of property damage liability coverage per accident. However, once a passenger has been assigned, the coverage increases with at least $1 million of coverage for bodily injury and property damage. Therefore, if you have been injured in a ride-share accident in which you are not at fault, you may be able to obtain larger compensation for your injuries.
